Ariyan Afshin Moghaddam

Biography

Ariyan is a Paralegal at Greymore, supporting the firm’s Immigration and Family Law Department. A recent LLB Law graduate from the University of Reading, he has built strong early experience in UK immigration law through previous work in legal aid settings and high-volume asylum and humanitarian protection cases.

Prior to joining Greymore, he worked as an Immigration Paralegal at a specialist firm, where he managed complex immigration matters including asylum claims, visa applications, fee waivers, and fresh claims. He also completed training in mental health law and human rights through a legal internship and has developed strong drafting, research, and case preparation skills.

Fluent in English, Turkish, and Persian, he brings a compassionate, client-focused approach to his work, with a strong interest in advocacy and access to justice. He is currently preparing to sit the SQE as part of his ongoing legal training.

Area of Expertise

  • Immigration Law: Assisting with asylum applications, family-based immigration claims, fresh claims, humanitarian protection, fee waiver applications, and discretionary leave matters. Skilled in liaising with the Home Office and drafting client representations.

  • Family Law Support: Supporting casework involving domestic abuse, child arrangements, and family life applications under immigration law. Familiar with preparing supporting documentation and statements for legal proceedings.

  • Legal Drafting & Advocacy Preparation: Experienced in preparing C100 and FLR(FP) forms, client witness statements, and legal bundles. Familiar with judicial review processes and tribunal procedures, including Mental Health Tribunals.
