Biography
Cagri Cosar joined Greymore as a Partner to lead the City of London office and currently serves as the Head of the Corporate and Business Law Department. He is a practicing solicitor in England and Wales and is also registered as a practicing lawyer with the İstanbul Bar Association in Turkey.
As a dual-qualified solicitor, Cagri brings a unique cross-border perspective to his work, further enhanced by his LL.M. in International Law from the University of Westminster. With vast experience advising domestic and international clients across sectors such as FinTech, blockchain, cryptocurrencies, e-commerce, IT, and insur-tech, he is known for cutting through complexity to deliver pragmatic and practical solutions.
Outside of his professional life, Cagri lectures on Business Law at Kaplan International Colleges London and ESCP Business Law. His personal interests include travelling, hiking, and watching football.

Cagri specialises in corporate and commercial law, advising on a wide range of matters for clients in the FinTech, blockchain, and IT sectors.
Corporate Law: Cagri has extensive experience in due diligence investigations, contract drafting, negotiating and structuring deals, and advising on regulatory aspects. His expertise includes the incorporation of foreign-capitalised companies, investment structuring, share sales, asset sales, joint ventures, investment agreements, and resolving shareholder conflicts.
Banking Law: He provides comprehensive legal advice on banking regulations, financial services compliance, and complex banking transactions. His expertise extends to advising financial institutions on regulatory requirements, banking licenses, and financial product development.
Corporate Finance: Cagri advises on various aspects of corporate finance, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, venture capital investments, and debt financing. He has significant experience in structuring and executing complex financial transactions, capital raising, and corporate restructuring.
Commercial Law: He advises on cross-border commercial transactions, including IT, licensing, and outsourcing contracts, as well as franchising, distribution, and procurement arrangements. Cagri also directs regulatory compliance projects in areas such as financial services, anti-money laundering, KYC, and personal data protection.
