Biography
Cemal co-founded the firm in 2009 and currently serves as the senior partner and head of the International Desk at Greymore. Under his leadership, the firm has achieved consistent year-on-year growth, evolving into a multi-partner, multi-disciplinary practice with a global perspective and reach.
Cemal has established strong professional relationships with leading law firms worldwide, collaborating with high-quality practices in over 12 countries. He regularly receives instructions from international clients and is particularly recognised for advising investors and corporate clients on finance, investment, and trade matters in the UK.
Over the years, Cemal has cultivated extensive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including banks, financial institutions, multinational corporations, semi-governmental organisations, and international development firms of various scales. He has been involved in several high-profile and widely reported cases, including one that led to changes in English law.
Outside of his professional life, Cemal serves as a trustee for a local charity and is actively involved in supporting Turkish community organisations. An enthusiastic swimmer and runner, he recently completed a half marathon. Cemal’s interests also include early to mid-20th century Russian history, literature, poetry, interior design, painting, and gardening. He describes his passion for working with soil as “transporting him to another world.”
