Biography

Elif Sila Taslicay joined Greymore as a Paralegal in the City of London office. She is part of the Business Law Department, where she specialises in Commercial, Corporate, and Banking Law.

Elif brings a cross-border perspective grounded in her academic and professional background. She completed her LL.M. in International Business Law at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), where she studied with the prestigious Jean Monnet Scholarship, funded by the European Union. Her work focuses on supporting partners and senior lawyers in complex cross-border matters, including corporate governance, financial transactions, and international commercial arrangements.

Her approach combines analytical precision with a commercial mindset. Drawing from her experience in both UK, EU and Turkish jurisdictions, Elif provides practical solutions across a range of corporate and financial transactions, as well as compliance and international dispute resolution matters.

Outside of her professional work, Elif enjoys reading, and travelling with friends and family. She plays volleyball weekly in social leagues across London and also pursues her interest in ceramics, reflecting her creativity and balance beyond the workplace.

Area of Expertise

  • Corporate Law: Elif advises on all aspects of corporate governance and company law. Her work includes drafting and reviewing shareholder agreements, board and members’ resolutions, and share transfer documentation. She supports clients through restructurings, incorporations, and capital changes, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements under English law. Elif also assists with cross-border corporate matters involving UK–Turkey structures, bringing clarity to complex multi-jurisdictional issues and providing practical guidance on director duties, share issuances, and company administration.

  • Commercial Law: In the commercial sphere, Elif works on the drafting, review, and negotiation of a broad range of business agreements, including service contracts, partnership agreements, and cross-border trade arrangements. She advises clients on risk allocation, compliance with regulatory frameworks, and the structuring of commercial relationships. Her LL.M. in International Business Law at LSE enables her to combine an academic understanding of transnational commercial frameworks with practical insight into day-to-day business operations.

  • Banking and Finance: Elif assists in preparing and reviewing financial documentation for both lenders and borrowers. Her work includes loan agreements, negotiable instruments, facility agreements, and security documentation, with particular focus on cross-border transactions governed by English law. She assists with the preparation and review of banking documentation, including facility agreements, promissory notes, and related instruments, and has experience working on transactions governed by English banking and finance law. Elif also supports clients on matters involving SWIFT service agreements, deposit charges, and secured lending.

  • International Dispute Resolution: Elif contributes to cases involving cross-border litigation and international arbitration, assisting in strategy preparation, document review, and research on jurisdictional and enforcement issues. Her experience includes supporting complex commercial disputes and arbitrations involving multi-jurisdictional elements, and she draws upon her strong academic foundation in arbitration and comparative procedural law to assist in the effective management of contentious matters
