Biography
Peri Hassan is a qualified solicitor with extensive experience, specialising in residential and commercial property law. As Head of Conveyancing at his previous firm, he managed a wide range of property matters, from complex transactions to company acquisitions, while also overseeing compliance and the firm’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) accreditation.
Peri has extensive experience advising both individual and corporate clients on freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, lease extensions, remortgages, and land acquisitions for development. He also provides strategic guidance to colleagues and junior lawyers on property matters and regulatory requirements.
In addition to his property practice, Peri has experience in wills and probate, landlord and tenant matters, and private client work. He is known for his attention to detail, client care, and ability to handle complex transactions efficiently from inception to completion.
Area of Expertise
Residential & Commercial Conveyancing: Advising clients on all aspects of property transactions, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, lease extensions, remortgages, and the acquisition of land for development. Experienced in managing transactions from initial instruction through to completion and post-completion formalities, including registration and SDLT returns.
Landlord & Tenant Matters: Handling both residential and commercial landlord and tenant matters, including granting, assigning, surrendering, and varying leases, rent reviews, and possession proceedings.
Wills & Probate: Advising clients on estate planning, drafting wills, and managing probate matters, including inheritance tax calculations and estate distribution.
Client Care & Compliance: Maintaining CQS accreditation, overseeing client due diligence, AML compliance, and supporting junior lawyers and paralegals. Skilled in risk assessment, raising enquiries, and resolving issues efficiently throughout transactions.
