Biography
Selin Olken is a Consultant Solicitor qualified in England and Wales and Türkiye. Her practice focuses on commercial and employment law, combining ongoing advice to businesses with the management of disputes and litigation.
Selin advises businesses from growing companies to large corporate groups and international organisations. She works directly with business leaders and HR teams on commercial agreements, employment issues and operational decisions, providing clear advice that takes account of both legal risks and business needs.
She manages the firm’s employment caseload, advising employers and individuals on contentious and non-contentious matters in England and Wales. Her work ranges from employment contracts and workplace policies to sensitive employee relations issues, settlement negotiations and Employment Tribunal claims.
Alongside her employment practice, Selin drafts and negotiates commercial contracts and advises on contractual disputes, debt recovery and landlord and tenant matters. Her experience across advisory work and litigation helps clients address risks early and make informed decisions when disputes arise.
Selin speaks English and Turkish. Outside work, she enjoys baking, reading crime novels and watching true-crime documentaries.

Selin specialises in corporate and commercial law, dispute resolution, and litigation, providing strategic legal advice and representation to both individuals and businesses across a range of sectors.
Employment Law & Employee Relations: Advising employers and employees on employment contracts, workplace policies, disciplinary and grievance procedures, redundancy, employee exits and bonus-related matters, together with the employment implications of business transfers under TUPE.
Employment Disputes & Settlement Agreements: Managing Employment Tribunal claims, including pleadings, witness evidence, litigation strategy and settlement negotiations. Preparing and negotiating settlement agreements for employers and separately providing independent legal advice to employees.
Commercial Contracts & Business Advice: Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements, including master services agreements, supplier and sub-contractor agreements, NDAs, consultancy agreements and warehouse and storage agreements. Advising on tender documentation, contractual risk and day-to-day operational matters.
Commercial Dispute Resolution & Litigation: Advising on contractual claims, debt recovery and landlord and tenant disputes, from pre-action correspondence through to proceedings and settlement. Assessing legal remedies and commercial options, conducting negotiations and working with counsel where required.
