Biography
Soykan has joined Greymore’s City office as a Legal Adviser and focuses on business development as well as being involved in various Corporate and Business Law related matters.
He is a registered foreign lawyer in England and Wales and is also registered as a practicing lawyer with the Istanbul Bar Association.
Before joining Greymore, Soykan developed a unique experience within the UK's regulatory environment, especially the FCA with his prior experiences as the head of legal of a large fintech group and also being a partner in a consultancy firm that focuses predominantly on FCA related matters.
Soykan's experience also varies as advising domestic and international clients in Fin-Tech, Insur-Tech, blockchain, e-commerce, start-ups, CICs.
Soykan is also a member of the Board at Good Night Out Campaign, a community interest company which tackles sexual violence and drug harm reduction.
Outside of his professional life, Soykan is a vibes dealer, organises parties where he DJs and creates uplifting environments for his friends & family. He also plays tennis and likes to dance.

Corporate Law: Extensive experience in due diligence investigations, contract drafting, deal structuring, and advising on regulatory frameworks. Expertise includes foreign company incorporation, investment structuring, share and asset sales, joint ventures, investment agreements, and shareholder conflict resolution.
Regulatory & Compliance (FCA): Deep understanding of financial regulatory frameworks, compliance obligations, and risk mitigation strategies for businesses in regulated sectors. Experience leading regulatory compliance projects in financial services, cryptocurrency, fintech, and emerging markets.
Start-up & Venture Law: Advises start-ups and high-growth companies on corporate structuring, fundraising, regulatory compliance, shareholder agreements, and commercial contracts. Expertise in navigating legal complexities in flip-ups and scaling businesses within dynamic environments.
Contracts & Commercial Law: Advises on cross-border commercial transactions, IT and licensing agreements, outsourcing contracts, franchising, distribution, and procurement. Expertise in negotiating and drafting complex contracts while ensuring regulatory and compliance adherence.
