Biography
Turkan Akbas is a Senior Legal Associate at Greymore and currently serves as the Chairwoman of MUSIAD UK, a prominent business association supporting UK–Türkiye trade relations. She also acts as an Official Voluntary Delegate for UN Women UK, reflecting her longstanding commitment to human rights and gender equality.
With over a decade of legal experience, she advises across property, immigration, landlord and tenant, and litigation matters. Her work combines technical expertise with a client-focused approach, supporting both individuals and businesses through complex legal challenges.
Prior to joining Greymore, she held consultancy and partnership roles at a number of London law firms, managing conveyancing transactions, immigration cases, family disputes, and civil litigation. Her career also includes leading a legal submission to the International Criminal Court involving crimes against humanity, where she coordinated a multi-disciplinary legal team.
She is known for her integrity, advocacy, and strategic thinking; qualities that shape both her legal practice and her work with international organisations.

Property & Conveyancing: Handles a wide range of residential and commercial conveyancing matters, including leaseholds, sales, purchases, and landlord-tenant issues. Oversees transactions from initial instruction to completion with diligence and clarity.
Immigration Law: Experienced in complex immigration matters including settlement, nationality, and family-based applications. Supports both private and corporate clients with clear guidance and strong representation.
Civil Litigation & Dispute Resolution: Advises on a range of complex civil and commercial disputes with a clear, solutions-focused approach. Experienced in case preparation, negotiations, and managing proceedings efficiently to achieve favourable, cost-effective outcomes for clients.
